Our training goes well beyond PowerPoint software skills. The core programs — Present Your Story and Present Your Data — teach best practices for slide design, visual storytelling, and data visualization that apply to any presentation tool.
You'll learn to eliminate bullet-point overload, use imagery and design principles effectively, and communicate data with clarity and impact. We also offer The PowerPoint Toolbox, a hands-on session focused specifically on working faster and smarter inside PowerPoint. All programs include techniques for using PowerPoint more efficiently, but the primary focus is on how to communicate more effectively, not just how to operate the software. -
Programs range from 1-hour remote webinars to full two-day on-site immersives.
Present Your Story and Present Your Data each start at 2-hours and can be extended to half-day or full-day sessions with hands-on exercises and deeper dives. They can also be combined into a multi-day master class. The PowerPoint Toolbox is available in 2- and 4-hour formats. All programs can be tailored to your organization's schedule and needs. -
Both. All training programs are available on-site at your location or delivered remotely via Zoom. For remote sessions, we provide a full Zoom webinar package including registration, reminder emails, attendee tracking, reporting, and a post-training survey. While remote training is highly effective, on-site sessions allow for more material, hands-on exercises, and direct responsiveness to attendee questions.

The 1-Second Chart® is Nolan's trademarked methodology for creating data visualizations that can be understood by an audience in one second or less. It is taught in the Present Your Data program and draws on principles used by professional data designers — including direct labeling, annotation, the McKinsey Rule, and strategic use of color and emphasis — to strip charts down to their essential message and make the data story immediately legible without explanation.
